The Clothing worn by the Blackfoot men were made out of buffalo skins, as were the women's. Men wore breech clothes held up by a belt or buckskin tunics. Both were worn with leggings. They wore moccasins and robes in colder weather. Men were the ones who went to war, so their clothes had to look feirce. In order to make their clothes look scary, they lined the hems with elk teeth, porcupine quills and pointy beads.
WOMEN'S CLOTHING
The clothing worn by the Blackfoot women were made out of buffalo hides, like the men's. Women wore long deerskin dresses or shirts that hung below the knees and leggings tied only just above the knee. They wore moccasins and made bracelets and earrings out of seashells and wore beads as a necklace or in their hair.
